A great post rock record that doesnt fall into the same line as alot of current post rock (explosions in the sky copy bands that all sound the same)
Its use of horns and other things besides guitar make it stand out
Favorite track: Annihilate everything that exists!-.
The Grandeur of Red Sparowes with the restraint of Balmorhea, with a touch of early Mike Oldfield. This is a standout release in post-rock, and it's been criminally underappreciated.
Favorite track: Mastodon March, Smilodon Smile.

"Moments of tender sweetness lead to bone crushing sweetness. This group of seven explores time signatures your Senegalese grandfather talked about, using instruments from before and after time, in the context of orchestrated rockopalyptic soundscapes."

Beast, Please Be Still is a seven piece instrumental landscape from Seattle. A collection of emotive story-telling, the music of this collaborative sounds like an orchestra of beautiful, post-everything.
